What Happened?

Franklin revealed that he was suffering from dehydration and dangerously high blood glucose levels. This happened due to a malfunction in his insulin pump. During this time, he was alone and had no immediate access to assistance. So, this is when he turned to his Tesla Model 3 for aid.

Tesla recently unlocked the full self-driving feature on its cars in the USA. Following this, the man activated the autonomous driving mode with a double click of the steering column stalk. He then entrusted his life to Tesla.

He added that without any human intervention, the Tesla Model 3 skillfully helped him reach the hospital. As per Franklin, the distance from his house to the VA Medical Center was around 13 miles. He stated that the Tesla Model 3 reached the hospital without any hiccups.

Upon arrival at the hospital, he stated that the Tesla Model 3 even autonomously parked itself. This then allowed the owner to seek urgent medical attention without delay. Despite enduring the ordeal, the man emerged from the hospital with a positive outcome.

Franklin, in his post, also mentions, “As an owner of luxury vehicles including Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Acura, and Cadillac, I can unequivocally declare Tesla the pinnacle of automotive innovation today. Its life-saving capabilities in critical moments underscore its superiority.”

In the same post, Franklin also shared his experience of owning a Tesla Model 3. He stated that the cost-saving benefits of owning a Tesla cannot be overstated. He said that he has a solar-powered home.

So because of this, he has spent a very low amount on charging his Tesla Model 3. He added that he has saved around $1,000 (approximately Rs 83,000). In addition, he has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
