Mahindra Automotive is gearing up to unveil the newest iteration of its sub-compact SUV, the XUV 300. However, the company has now changed its name to Mahindra XUV 3XO. Now, before fully revealing this SUV to the public, it has released a few teasers of it. The latest teaser reveals that the SUV will be coming equipped with a segment-first feature: a remote air conditioning system. Interestingly, there are a few other segment-first features which will be offered with this SUV.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Segment-First Features
The most recent teaser video of the XUV 3XO has been shared on YouTube by the official channel for this SUV. It starts with a woman holding a smartphone. With this smartphone, she can be seen turning on and controlling the car’s automatic climate control system.
We can note that the climate settings screen of the AdrenoX car app from Mahindra. This new feature will help the owners to turn on the air conditioning system of their vehicle before entering it. This feature will allow users to select the duration and temperature for the air conditioning system.
It will also allow users to defrost the front as well as rear windows. These features will come especially handy to buyers of this SUV during horrid summers and cold winters. Apart from this, we can note that this SUV will come equipped with dual-zone climate control. Both of these features are segment-first features.
Other Features of the Mahindra XUV 3XO
In addition to the above-highlighted features, the XUV 3XO will come equipped with two 10.25-inch screens. One will be the infotainment screen, and the other will be its digital instrument gauge cluster. Both of these have been taken from the XUV400 EV.
Prior to this teaser, the company has also released a few other teasers. The main highlights noted from these teasers are the exterior and interior design updates. On the outside, the XUV 3XO will get a much more modern and sophisticated design. It will get a set of LED projector headlights with long vertically mounted LED DRLs.
The front of the XUV 3XO will come with beautiful gloss black elements as well. These elements will be seen throughout the car, especially on the rear. Speaking of the rear, it will also get a beautiful looking connected LED tail light. The side profile will remain the same but will get a new set of alloy wheels.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Interior
Coming to the interior, this time around Mahindra has left no stones unturned. It will get a plush-looking dual-tone interior with leather and soft-touch materials. It will also get a segment-first panoramic sunroof as well.
Some reports have stated that the company could also offer the XUV 3XO with ADAS as well. What will make it another segment-first feature will be its level 2 capabilities. The company is planning to offer level 2 ADAS in this SUV.
So far, only the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue get ADAS in this segment, but they have level 1 ADAS. Mahindra is expected to offer at least 10 driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Powertrain Options
As for the powertrain options, most likely it will be offered with the same engine options as the current model. These include a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 110 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
Meanwhile, the other option is a 1.2-liter Turbo petrol engine that generates 131 PS and 230 Nm of peak torque. This engine is currently available with a manual gearbox only.
Lastly, there will also be a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine option as well. It generates 115 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque. It will also be available with a manual and AMT gearbox option.
