After teasing for a long time, Ather Energy has finally launched the Rizta family scooter in India. The company has launched the scooter at a starting price of Rs 1.09 lakh and it goes all the way up to Rs 1.44 lakh. The Rizta is being offered in S and Z variants. The Z variant, in addition, gets two different battery packs – 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. The company has loaded the Rizta with a number of useful features. Ather Rizta: Design
Starting off with the design, the company has given this new EV scooter a much more traditional scooter design. It departs from the cutting-edge, bold design of the 450 Series and gets a more rounded-off design. It looks a lot more like a traditional ICE scooter which it has been launched to compete with.
At the front, it gets a simple design with a sleek headlight and indicator unit. It gets LED headlights and turn indicators. Just above it is the Ather lettering and the registration plate holder. The dual-tone models get half of the lower section painted in the chosen color.
The front gets a telescopic suspension with a 12-inch wheel and disc brake. It also has a sizable lower side panel painted in body color.
The side profile gets a much more rounded design. It tapers towards the bottom and looks like a funnel. It also gets a raised Rizta badge along with an accent strip above it.
Its main highlight is its massive seat. Along with it, the scooter gets a chunky rear grab handle. The company with the Z variant is also offering a backrest mounted on this grab handle as well.
In the rear, the Rizta gets a very sleek wraparound LED taillight. Just below it is the Ather lettering in black. It gets drum brakes in the rear.
Ather Rizta: Features
On the left side of the handlebar, the scooter gets different controls. It gets a switch for high beam and low beam. It also comes with a toggle switch to control the display, indicator switch, and a horn button.
The company is offering the base variant S with a 7-Inch Deepview display. Meanwhile, the top variants get 7-inch TFT displays. The top models offer Google Maps integration but the base model gets turn-by-turn navigation.
On the right side of the handlebar, the scooter gets reverse, mode change, ignition, and kill switch. It looks exactly like the 450 series models.
The Ather Rizta will be offered with only two riding modes. These will be Smart Eco and Zip modes.
The scooter will also come with a flat floorboard as the 450 series scooters.
The charging port will be on the left of the inside panel. And in the middle, there will be a foldable hook. The right end will get the keyhole.
Ather is offering the scooter with a massive 56-liter storage. It can easily hold two helmets.
The company is also offering the scooter with a multi-device charger which can be attached in the scooter’s boot.
Additionally, the company is also offering a storage space organizer as well.
The rear suspension will be a monoshock suspension.
Ather, as mentioned, is also offering a backrest with the scooter to make it more comfortable.
Ather Rizta: Colors
The Rizta will be offered in three single-tone colors. These will be namely, Pangong Blue, Siachen White, and Deccan Grey.
The more expensive variants will also get dual-tone color options of white with Pangong Blue, Deccan Grey, Alphonso Yellow, and Cardamom Green.
