Mahindra and Mahindra launched the ambulance version of the Bolero Neo Plus SUV last year. The manufacturer had confirmed that a civilian version of the SUV would soon be offered in the market. Mahindra has now launched the 9-seater version of the Bolero Neo Plus in the market. The price for the Bolero Neo Plus starts at Rs. 11.39 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs. 12.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
The newly launched SUV is actually an extended version of the Bolero Neo, which is already on sale in the market. The newly launched Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is available in two variants – P4 and P10. Speaking at the launch, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “The Bolero brand has become a hallmark of robustness and trustworthiness for our customers over the years, consistently delivering performance that exceeds expectations. With the launch of the Bolero Neo+, we are offering a promise of durability, advanced features, and superior comfort that enriches the driving experience for every family and fleet owner alike.”
The Bolero Neo Plus gets the same design as the regular Bolero Neo. According to Mahindra, this SUV is tailored for customers desiring a stylish, spacious, and tough SUV that comfortably accommodates up to 9 passengers, including the driver. The Bolero Neo Plus features a boxy design with an upright bumper and bonnet.
The bumper has a muscular design, adding to the butch look of this SUV. The Bolero Neo Plus is 4,400 mm long, 1,795 mm wide, and 1,812 mm tall. While the SUV looks the same as the 5-seater version when it comes to exterior design, it features an X-shaped spare wheel cover, stylish headlamps, fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, side and rear foot steps, and more.
The Bolero Neo+ is offered in the P4 and P10 variants. Both these variants cater to the needs of customers with different preferences. The P4 serves as the entry-level option, while the P10 embodies a more premium trim. Both prioritize ample space for passengers and luggage, accommodating up to nine passengers, including the driver, with hassle-free entry and exit from the rear for third-row passengers.
On the inside, Mahindra is now offering premium Italian interiors. The SUV’s higher variant is offered with features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes Bluetooth, USB, and Aux connectivity. The Bolero Neo Plus also gets convenience features like an anti-glare IRVM, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.
Mahindra is offering power windows for all four windows. It also gets armrests and generous boot space, ensuring both comfort and practicality. The SUV is offered in a 2-3-4 pattern to accommodate 9 passengers. The last row consists of side-facing bench seats to accommodate 4 passengers. The SUV also comes with safety features including ABS with EBD, dual airbags, ISOFIX child seats, engine immobilizer, and automatic door locks.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is powered by a bigger engine compared to the Bolero Neo. The Neo+ uses a 2.2-liter turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that generates 120 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is available with a manual gearbox only. This is Mahindra’s first launch in 2024, and we are expecting more from the brand this year.
Mahindra is all set to launch the facelifted version of the XUV300 on April 29th. This sub-4-meter SUV has been renamed the XUV 3XO. A detailed review of the same will be shared on our website soon. We are also expecting the 5-door version of the Mahindra Thar to hit the market this year.
