Bentley has added some extra style and suave to the ever-popular Bentayga with the release of the new Bentayga S Black Edition.
The car manufacturer describes the Bentayga S Black Edition as its most striking SUV manufactured to date. It immediately stands out from other versions thanks to various black detailing, including black-tinted windows. The SUV also rocks black lettering and the firm’s Styling Specification bodykit for some added panache.

Shoppers can opt for one of the seven available accent colors for the car; Mandarin, Signal Yellow, Klein Blue, Pillar Box Red, Ice, Hyper Green, and Beluga. These accents stretch across the front fascia, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear wing, while also extending throughout the luxury SUV’s interior.
Speaking of the cabin of the SUV, it includes rich Beluga leather with contrast stitching, piping, and an embroidered ‘S’ badge on the seats. There is also a new carbon fiber weave on the fascia and center console. Bentley has also added a new Dark Chrome pack as standard, adding metal interior detailing. Customers will be able to choose between three available audio systems, including a flagship from Naim.
The S Black Edition rocks a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 542 hp and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque, allowing it to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds and a 180 mph (290 km/h) top speed. The model also comes standard with electronic all-wheel steering and sports suspension designed to make it stick to the pavement. There is also the Bentley Dynamic Ride system with electric active roll control technology.
Bentley has also added a new Sport driving mode that promises to improve steering feel, reduce body roll, and provide better turn-in response. The torque vectoring by brake system has also been recalibrated and a sports exhaust comes standard.
While many of these features aim to improve how the Bentayga handles on the road, the S Black Edition remains capable off the beaten path, retaining Snow and Wet Grass, Dirt and Gravel, Mud and Trail, and Sand off-road modes with a 500 mm (19.6-inch) wading depth.
Shoppers wanting to lower their fuel bill will be able to order the Bentley S Black Edition in hybrid guise. This model uses a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 petrol with 456 hp and a 100 kW (134 hp) electric motor-generator. It can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.3 seconds and reach a 158 mph (254 km/h) top speed.
