The C-Class EV has been spied sporting a massive digital display and a EQS-like design
- The Mercedes C-Class EV has been spied with a design that echoes the EQE and EQS.
- Spy photographers also got a glimpse inside and the car will have a dashboard dominated by screens.
Mercedes is working on an assortment of electric vehicles including an entry-level CLA. However, that’s not the only electric sedan on the horizon as spy photographers have caught the C-Class EV once again.
Spied wearing black and white camouflage, the electric sedan follows in the footsteps of the EQE and EQS as it adopts a streamlined and slightly generic design. Details are hard to make out, but we can see a sizable central intake and temporary headlights that give off a pre-facelift Tesla Model 3 vibe.

The curvaceous front end gives way to a relatively short hood and a rakish windscreen. We can also see a rather generous wheelbase as well as a long sloping roof with a panoramic glass panel. They’re joined by wide hips that direct air to an integrated rear spoiler. Rounding out the highlights are flush-mounted door handles and a small rear window.
Spies got a glimpse inside and the pictures reveal a nearly vertical dashboard that is dominated by screens. The treatment appears to be a budget version of the MBUX Hyperscreen as the display appears to span the width of the cabin. Furthermore, the screen will apparently be shared with the CLA EV, judging by previous spy photos.
There isn’t much else to see, but the model has a three-spoke steering wheel, slender air vents, and an in-cabin camera. The car also embraces a minimalist design that largely eschews physical switchgear.
Little else is known about the C-Class EV at this point, but it will reportedly ride on the MB.EA platform instead of the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) that underpins the CLA. This suggests the model will be more advanced, although specifics are hazy at the moment.
