Audi has taken the wraps off the 2025 Q7 and SQ7, giving its largest SUV its second consecutive facelift. The updates primarily focus on cosmetic changes, including customizable high-tech lighting options, a new grille, and redesigned bumpers. Additionally, the model receives enhancements in infotainment and safety features while retaining the powertrain options from the previous version.

The second generation of the Audi Q7 was introduced back in 2015 with the first facelift following in 2020. Normally, 2024 would be a nice time for a new generation, but Audi decided to extend the lifecycle of the existing model, hoping that a series of fresh styling and technological updates will keep it relevant for a few more years.

By using a darker tint for the headlights and splitting the LED graphics into two sections, Audi designers brought the Q7 on par with the rest of the SUV lineup in terms of styling language. While all trims feature matrix LED units as standard, the flagship Vorsprung model boasts an even more advanced setup.

In a first for the Q7 SUV, it features HD Matrix LED headlights with laser technology for additional high beam capability. These headlights also include digital daytime running lights with selectable light signatures. Additionally, the higher-positioned daytime running lights at the front and the revised digital OLED taillight graphics can be customized, allowing the driver to choose from four different lighting signatures.

Setting aside the new lights, the 2025 Audi Q7 features a revised grille and sportier bumper intakes, taking inspiration from the recently facelifted Q8. Additionally, there are five new designs for the alloy wheels, with sizes going up to 22 inches in diameter. The exterior color options have expanded with the introduction of three new colors: Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold, and Chili Red. Furthermore, the trim lineup has been revamped and now includes the S line, Black Edition, Launch Edition, and Vorsprung variants.

Inside, the dashboard layout remains unchanged, but the touchscreen now incorporates the latest iteration of Audi’s infotainment system. This updated system offers compatibility with third-party applications such as Spotify and Amazon Music. Furthermore, the standard Audi virtual cockpit has been enhanced to display information about other road users and includes ADAS-related features like lane change warning, distance warning, intersection assist, and traffic light information.

The powertrain includes carry-over diesel (TDI) and gasoline (TFSI) units in Europe, with only the latter being available in the US. In the SQ7 performance flagship, the 4.0-liter V8 produces 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque allowing the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint to be completed in 4.1 seconds.

All powertrains are mated to the eight-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox, always combined with the standard quattro AWD system. The Q7 also comes standard with adaptive air suspension, while high-spec models get a sportier chassis setup and four-wheel steering. Furthermore, the optional S sport package that is available for the SQ7 adds a sport rear differential, and a sophisticated electromechanical Active roll stabilization system (eAWS).

The 2024 Audi Q7 is already available to order, starting from £66,605 ($84,112) in the UK and from $60,500 in the US.
